SSL certificate

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) —is a protocol that provides communications security. If you plan to receive via your web site visitors’ personal data, financial information or any other confidential information, you will need to use SSL.

SSL certificate —is a unique digital signature of your web site required for organization of secure communication channel using SSL protocol. The certificate must be signed by an authorized certification authority. If the certificate is signed by an unauthorized certification center, or is expired, the visitor’s browser will show a warning that will scare off you clients and hurt your reputation. We recommend to purchase only fully valid SSL certificates.

SSL certificates are issued for a specific web site address. If you use several addresses for you secure communication (e. g. https://www.yoursite.ru, https://yoursite.ru,https://profile.yoursite.ru), you will need a separate certificate for each address. There are special WildCard certificates that are issued for all addresses in the *. yoursite.ru domain.

How to purchase an SSL certificate.

1. Register at Private office.

2. Make a deposit to your billing account sufficient to cover the cost of the certificate.

3. Send a request showing:

   • your Personal Account Number (or login for our Personal Account Page);
   • the name of the selected certificate;
   • the desired term of the certificate (1 or 2 years);
   • the name of the corporate certificate holder (or full name of the individual the certificate will be issued to) in the English language (must be the same as the name of the domain owner);
   • precise address of the web site for which the certificate will be issued.

4. For Comodo InstantSSL or Comodo PremiumSSL Wildcard certificates, please attach to your email scanned ORIGINALS of two documents, as specified below.

Inoventica Services may require notarized copies, which will need to be provided to our office within five days. The verification procedure takes between three days and two weeks.

After the certificate has been successfully issued, the cost will be debited from your billing account. The certificate will be either emailed to you or installed on your web site (if the site is hosted by us and has a dedicated IP address).

Document requirements

Legal entities are required to provide any SINGLE-PAGE document showing the name of the company, legal address, the seal of the issuing government authority and the signature and name of the signatory.

Examples:

• License for any kind of activity;

• Information letter confirming registration with the Statistical Register of Economic Entities (Statregistr) of the Federal State Statistics Service;

  • Notification of registration of legal entity with the Pension Fund issued by the local branch of the Fund at the place of business within the territory of the Russian Federation;

• Notification of registration with the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation, if the name of the company, address and the seal are on the same page;

  • Notification from the local branch of the Federal State Statistics Service;

  • Certificate of registration with the tax authority: Form 09-1-2 (Form 1-1-Учет does not satisfy the requirements);

• Certificate of registration with the local Fund of Compulsory Medical Insurance, if medical insurance is required;

• Certificate of State Registration of Title (Russian Federation, Uniform State Register of Real Property Rights and Transactions).

Individuals are required to provide any document, showing the permanent residence address and full name.

Examples:

• Russian passport (page showing the photo and full name and the registration page);

• Compulsory medical insurance policy;

• Phone bill receipt or receipt for utilities.
